MEXICO. Guadalajara. Augustin I Iturbide Silver Proclamation Medal, 1822. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.
Grove-27a; Fonrobert-6910. Obverse: Uniformed and draped bust of Iturbide right; Reverse: Emblem of Guadalajara: Two lions rampantes (though resembling hounds or wolves) on either side of tree. Quite vibrant and lustrous, this example does exhibit some scattered hairlines, but they are not overly distracting and are consistent with the grading tier. A hint of frosting to the devices adds a bit of a pleasing prooflike nature to this top of the pop at PCGS.
Estimate: $700.00- $1000.00
