Printed by ABNC. Red specimen overprint and serial numbers with two punch cancellations. Santa Ana. Signature title of Director. Bustling harbor scene at left, with a vignette of three miners at right. Olive & yellow undertint on the face. The reverse is printed in an olive green color, and displays four "100" counters, with arms at center. An intricately lathed design stands out on the reverse, which still offers the same appeal as it did when it was printed over 100 years ago. A printer's annotation is found in the top right corner on the face, which looks like "Apr 95." Exceptional colour & detail for this high denomination specimen. Pinholes seen at corners.
