BIAFRA. Shilling, 1969. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield.
KM-3. "ONE" Shilling variety. A rather RARE one year type with the value spelled out as opposed to being rendered with a numeral. Struck in aluminum, this choice piece exhibits a bold strike and pleasing steel gray surfaces, along with a brilliant luster. Biafra herself lasted as a nation for just under three years, as independence was declared from Nigeria in 1967, only to have the uprising quelled in early 1970.
