Wurzbach-6129. Diameter: 44.5 mm; Weight: 50.6 gms. Struck to honor Alexandros Mavrokordatos and the first national assembly at Epidauros. Obverse: bust left; reverse: a priest induces two soldiers to clasp hands. Struck in high relief with a minimum of marks and hairlines. Dies by Konrad Lange.

Alexandros Mavrokordatos (Greek: Αλέξανδρος Μαυροκορδάτος; 1791-1865) was a Greek nobleman and politician and one of the first supporters of Greek independence. He led the first national assembly in 1822 and was four times prime minister of Greece under king Otto 1833-55.
