KM-83; Basso-41; Gil Crown variety-5-4-1-C. Type V Countermark, crowned F.7.0 within circular indent. Issued by decree of 2 October 1832, commencing 5 October 1832 until 20 December 1834. Countermark applied to the obverse of a 1833-LIMA MM Peru Republic 8 Reales. Countermark is well punched, though the "7" is slightly obscured. The host coin is evenly worn and exhibits light gray tone except for richer coloration in the protected areas.
