Ivory Coast Cote d'Ivoire 1 Franc ND (1943) Pick 7 PMG Choice Fine 15. During World War II, France was isolated from its colonies and could not meet their currency needs. This 1 Franc is the middle denomination in a short series created in 1943, as coinage became scarce. An elephant profile is seen at front, along with a small serial number and signature titles. All three denominations are very scarce today. In fact, this is the lone note graded in the PMG Population Report for Pick 7. A large tear is mentioned on this circulated rarity.
