Qatar & Dubai Currency Board 100 Riyals ND (ca. 1960) Pick 6cts Color Trial Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. A gorgeous high grade Color Trial Specimen, this piece was designed with a blue and purple color scheme instead of the green color base that was adopted for the series. As the highest denomination of the first post-colonial series, any surviving 100 Riyals is a prize today. This series circulated from 1966 until 1973, at which time the United Arab Emirates and Qatar issued their own country-specific banknotes. Red Specimen overprints, a hole punched cancellation, and solid zero serial numbers are noted.
