George III gold Sovereign 1817 MS64 NGC, KM674, S-3785. An impeccable offering of this early Sovereign issue, cloaked in golden resplendence and revealing only the faintest ticks and friction across its surfaces to preclude a full gem designation. Admirable in hand, with a potent cartwheel effect expressed to both the obverse and reverse faces. Very rarely seen finer, only a single "MS65" certifying more highly across both PCGS and NGC together.
