Peter III Rouble 1762 CПБ-HК MS62 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C47.2, Bit-11, Diakov-7 (R2), Uzd-924. Reeded edge. A charming representative of this scarce type, benefitting not only from a sound strike, but also from a general absence of any serious marks over the surfaces, which for their part retain a fine sheen of luster together with reddish-gray toning. Though some very mild porosity exists around the peripheries, the coin on the whole remains provably scarce in this condition, and easily boasts an eye appeal which alone seems to qualify it for a finer numeric grade.
