Philip III gold Escudo 1607 (Aqueduct)-C MS66 NGC, Segovia mint, KM29, Cal-60, Cay-4964. PHILIP legend variety. A very historic issue, coming as the initial date of only a two-year type, and one of the earliest milled coins of Spain. Typically unheard-of in this supreme gem grade, the present piece is the single finest across both NGC and PCGS, its lightly stippled surfaces free of all but the most inconsequential of marks, with a few as-made laminations noted around the date for the sake of accuracy.
