McGill University gold Specimen "Anna Molson Sciences Award" Medal 1864 SP63 PCGS, LeRoux-670 (R5). 45mm. 53.07gm. Bust of Isaac Newton left / 4-line inscription within wreath, shield above. Impressive as an award, particularly given its high level of preservation with only minor wisps in the fields to bound the grade. Established by an endowment left by Anna Molson, this medal was awarded by the university for accomplishments in Science, Mathematics and Physics. This is only the second example we have seen, the other coming from the Doug Robins Collection.
