(annulet) ЄD | WARD: DЄI: GRA: RЄX: ΛnGL: DnS: hyB' x Z (retrograde) x AQ | T' (double saltire stops), Edward crowned, standing facing in ship, sword in right hand, shield in left / + IhC: ΛVTЄm: TRAnSIЄnS: PЄR: mЄDIV: ILLORVm: IBAT (double saltire stops), large floriate cross with Є at center, crowned lions in angles, all within polylobe with trefoils in spandrels. Produced on a slightly undersized flan, and yet preserving superb detailing for the type, Edward's face in particular well-rendered, while few signs of doubling appear on the whole.
