Charles I gold Crown ND (1627-1628) AU50 NGC, Tower mint (under Charles), Castle mm, KM136, S-2711, N-2181, Brooker-193. Immediately impressive for its full strike, this representative makes fully apparent the minimal nature of its time spent in circulation--on the obverse and reverse alike, the engraver's guide along the legends is almost complete, die polish additionally studding the fields while few stray marks appear of any size. Quite easily seeable in a finer certified grade, and a coin which certainly seems to 'look forward to' the milled issues produced later during this reign.
