Leopold I Taler 1693-KB MS64 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM214.8, Dav-3264. Fully captivating as a representative of this typically quite prolific taler date, and yet one that simply does not often come this nice. Compared to the usual dark tone for the issue, this coin appears bright in the outer registers of the obverse and over the whole of the reverse, creating a powerful visual impact and eye appeal. The second finest graded, the last at this level we sold brought $3960 in our August sale 3085.
