A wonder of a coin even considering the often high grades in which many 14th and 15th-century ducats of Venice are found, with this being both the sole finest certified and the sole example at this level we have handled. Struck on a nearly perfect flan with a full outer border, the surfaces are bright and layered with die polish, not a hint of waviness or bending present. Likely as near to perfect as is reasonably conceivable for the type.
