Pretoria mint, KM-PS1. Mintage: 655 sets. A very highly graded sampling of this classically challenging South Africa Proof set, with the Farthing presently tied for the second finest and the sovereign for the finest certified at NGC; for comparison, we sold a PR65 example of the Sovereign alone for $4560 as part of the Caranett Collection in April 2020. Rarely encountered so fine, and amongst the nicest representatives we have offered. Sold with the original case of issue.
