Rama V nickel Pattern 1/2 Baht (2 Salung) ND (1868) MS65 NGC, Uncertain English mint, KM-Pn26, cf. Krisadaolarn/Mihailovs-pg. 164, Plate F32 (this denomination not listed). Plain edge. An impressive pattern emission from the beginning of Rama V's reign, clearly drawing heavy inspiration from the coinage of his predecessor. Featuring heavy die polish and a noticeably Prooflike reverse, this is only the third example we have handled and is difficult to imagine much finer. Sold with collector's envelope from the Jacobs collection.
