TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, large tin coin, cast (59.57g), Robinson-, Phayre-Plate III.3 (obverse only), 68mm; mythical hintha bird facing right, with long tail rising above, ornate flowers behind the tail, and holding an ornately cut 9-leaf branch in its beak // Burmese ta-weh (for the city of Dawei in Tenasserim Province), VF, RRR. Although this is a relatively available Tenasserim large coin, it comes in a bewildering variation of the quantity and arrangement of the dots representing the ocean waves.
