ABBASID:LOT of 13 silver dirhams, North African imitation derived from normal dirhams of the al-Muhammadiya mint dated either AH152 or 155, all with an annulet below the reverse field, which cites the name of al-Mahdi Muhammad as the son of the caliph (thus heir-apparent); all in EF or better condition, a very interesting research group for an aspect of Abbasid coinage in North Africa; retail value $500, lot of 13 pieces. It appears that all or nearly all are struck from different obverse & reverse dies.
Estimate: 280-350 USD
