GOA: Felipe III or João IV, AE bazaruco (2.01g) (1)64x, KM-, Zeno-, cf. Gomes-07.01 & 21.01, St. Lawrence 's gridiron, flanked by partial date 6-4 // crowned arms, G-A across field, VF-EF, RR. The reading of the date is based on similar silver tangas issued in the 1640 's, which feature the gridiron flanked by the complete date, as well as a crown below. The absence of the first and last digits on this example is likely due to its small flan size. Possibly a local imitation; no other examples of bazarucos of this type are known to us.
