Edward VII (1901-1910), Matte Proof Shilling, 1902, bare head right, rev. lion atop crown, edge milled, 12h (ESC 3588 [1411]; S.3982), lightly toned, choice mint state, in NGC holder, graded PF67 MATTE (Cert. #6027534-003) [*Single Finest*].
Matte Proofs are notoriously difficult to find in higher grades, having been mishandled soon after issue. The present offering is as appreciable an example as any serious collector of English milled Shillings could aspire to obtain.
