KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great.' 336-323 B.C. AR tetradrachm. 17.15 gm. 27 mm. Memphis mint. Struck under Ptolemy I Soter, circa 322/1 B.C. Head of youthful Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left; rose to left, ΔΙ-O below throne. CPE 19. Price 3971. Extremely Fine; beautiful old toning; fine style, well centered and sharply struck on a large flan. Exquisite style.

Coins of this issue are renowned for their beautiful style.
