Mn. Cordius Rufus. AR Denarius, 46 BC. Obv. RVFVS. Owl perched on Corinthian helmet right. Rev. MN. CORDIVS. Aegis decorated with head of Medusa. Cr. 463/2; B. 4. AR. 3.77 g. 15.93 mm. Great metal. A very attractive example for issue, brilliant with underlying luster. Banker's mark on obverse and usual areas of weakness, otherwise about EF.
