Justinian II (Second Reign, 705-711). AE Follis, Syracuse mint. Obv. Bust facing with short beard, wearing crown and chlamys, and holding globus cruciger; in right field, large pellet. Rev. Large M between two stars; above, monogram S.38; in exergue, SCL. D.O. 56 (1st reign); MIB 50; Cf. Sear 1299. AE. 2.18 g. 25.00 mm. RR. Very rare. Irregular flan and traces of overstriking on a first reign Follis. Deep olive green patina, with lighter spots. VF.
