Valerian I, 253-260. As (Copper, 26 mm, 8.56 g, 12 h), Rome, 255-256. IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right. Rev. ORIENS AVGG / S - C Sol standing front, head to left, nude but for chlamys, raising his right hand in salute and holding whip in his left. Cohen 138. MIR 75i (4 specimens). RIC 198. Very rare. Somewhat rough and with a minor scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
