Constantius II, 337-361. Centenionalis (Bronze, 23 mm, 11.81 g, 7 h), Siscia, 350. D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II to right; behind, A; before, star. Rev. HOC SIGNO VICTOR ERIS / A // •BSIS• Constantius Ii standing front, head to left, holding labarum with a christogram on the banner in his right hand, being crowned with wreath by Victory standing to left behind him, holding palm frond in her left hand. RIC 286. Struck on a massively overweight flan. Flan faults on the edge, otherwise, very fine.
The flan faults on the edge and the massive weight of 11.81 g - two times the expected weight - indicate that this curious coin was struck on two flans in error.
