BYZANTINE. 4th-6th centuries. Weight of 3 Ounkia (Orichalcum, 39 mm, 79.84 g), a uniface discoid commercial weight with centering holes, raised rims and a double-grooved edge. Γ Γ with cross above; all engraved in outline and within stylized laurel wreath. Rev. Blank. Pondera 9711. The inlays missing, otherwise, about extremely fine.
