MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 26 mm, 11.94 g, 1 h), circa 88-85. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, ΑP above monogram of ΠPY; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. Kleiner 27. SNG Paris 1729. Nicely toned. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, very fine.
