IONIA. Klazomenai. Circa 480-400 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.60 g, 7 h). Forepart of a winged boar to right. Rev. Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue within incuse square. BMC 15. Jameson 2256. Traité II, 1986. Rare. A boldly struck and perfectly centered example. Harshly cleaned and with some horn silver, otherwise, extremely fine.
