INDIA, Mauryan Empire. Karshapana (Silver, 19 mm, 2.62 g), circa 2nd century BC. Five punches: sun, six-armed symbol with arrows and taurines, elephant to rightl, dog on five-arched hill and Bodhi Tree on five-arched hill. Rev. Five banker's marks. Gupta and Hardaker, Series IVd, type 406. A very attractive example. Good very fine.
