CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Ambiani. Circa 60-50 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 6.12 g), issued during Caesar's Gallic Wars. Blank convex surface, with traces of design around the edges. Rev. Disjointed horse to right, with crescent below and pellets around. ABC 16. De la Tour 8710. Delestrée & Tache 239. Van Arsdell 52/4. Lightly toned. Very fine.
