ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 229-205 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19 mm, 6.52 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Tharsytas. Rayed head of Apollo Helios facing, turned slightly to the right. Rev. Ρ-Ο / ΘΑΡΣΥΤΑΣ Rose with bud to right; to left, eagle, with open wings, standing right on a race torch. BMC 142. Karl 499. SNG Keckman 551. Toned. Very fine.
