Sharply struck and well-centered and much nicer than usual. Extremely fine.

The plain diadem that adorns Vabalathus' head below the laurel wreath is often not mentioned in coin descriptions. Perhaps it is not clear on many examples, or maybe it is just that many cataloguers see it as part of the laurel wreath. Here, however, it is quite clear and distinct.
