From the Trausnitz Collection, ex Giessener Münzhandlung 71, 3 May 1995, 876.
A scarce type from early in Magnentius' reign when he was still confident about the chances of his claim to the throne being successful. While he was of Germanic descent, the usurper presents himself here as a strong Roman leader capable of defending the borders and restoring the empire's glory.
