Bust of the Virgin, orans, within the city walls furnished with four groups of towers; B·-·B sigla across the lower field. Rev. A/N/Δ/N/IK/OS - M/(fragmentary inscription) IX-XC Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus II, on left, and Michael IX, on right, both kneeling. DOC 417-51. LPC p. 62, 1. PCPC 128 sigla 145. SB 2396. Well-centered and with light rose-gold toning. Very fine.
