Stratford, 112, Holborn Hill, Jany. 31, 1807, engraved by Warren for Dr. Hughson's Description of London, handsomely tinted by hand; 2) Bank of England, Five Pound Note Office, signed by Gilbert and Melville, with no further information, also handsomely tinted by hand; 3) Bank of England. To the Governor & Directors of That National Establishment, This Plate Is Respectfully Dedicated, printed illustration based on engraving by William Tombleson after a drawing by Thomas H. Shepherd, Published March 21, 1827 by Jones & Co., London. Matted within a gilt wood frame. 4) The London and Middlesex Bank, Finch-Lane, City, clipped from the Saturday, February 14, 1863 issue of the Illustrated London News, published by George C. Leighton; and 5) 2484. Bank of England, an unidentified clipped illustration. Sizes, including mattes, range from 31 by 24, 5 cm to 22 by 18.5 cm, with the two hand-tinted engravings being of the larger size. Generally fine, with slight wear to matte margins of second. Includes some attractive renditions. The unframed works have been professionally matted and are ready for framing.
