Published by a committee headed by medallist Ludwig Hujer to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Medailleur-Vereinigung der Genossenschaft bildender Künstler Wiens. Published after the Anschluss, the title Die Medaille der Österreich had to be changed to use the Nazi-approved term for Austria, Ostmark. A significant publication on modern Austrian art medals.
