Two Pounds 1820 Gold Pattern with lettered edge S.3784, Wilson & Rasmussen 179, Reverse inverted, 15.82 grammes, signs of expert repair on the edge between TUTAMEN and ANNO, EF with many hairlines, thin scratches and some edge nicks, nevertheless excessively rare, one of the classic rarities of the Milled gold series, with a tiny mintage of only 60 pieces. This Pattern along with the Five Pounds of the same year were said to be have been minted in late January 1820, and remain one of the most sought after issues in the entire Gold series, very seldom being offered for sale
