Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, 'Rosette,' type 68, variety 2 / Series L related (type 15b or 16), draped bust right, with smooth folds, horizontal centrally, vertical at shoulders, crescent ear, rosette before and behind, also quincunx before, rev. barrel-chested figure standing facing, feet left, long cross pommée on tripod stand held by angular arms either side, 1.10g, 90° (SL 32-30 plate coin; SCBI 69, 525 this coin; T&S pp. 433-4, 347; Gannon 53, no. 206, 57, no. 227, 87, 101, no. 159, 162-3, 169, 189, no. 62, and Fig. 5.7c; Spink 823 plate coin), nearly very fine, the reverse better, extremely rare.
