Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, type 16, London, diademed and round jewelled draped bust right, wreath-ties unknotted, vine scroll before, rev. Barrel chested figure forward, flared tunic, holding long trident cross pommée either side, pellets on cross, feet splayed, 1.00g, 90° (SL 35-40, plate coin; SCBI 69, 491 this coin; T&S pp. 374-5; Gannon 59, 60, 70-2, 97, no. 131, and Figs. 2.68b; 2.69; 3.19a-b; Spink 804D plate coin), well-centred with dark toning, a really good very fine, extremely rare.
