Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series V, type 7, wolf with long limbs and tail right, looking down and back to suckling twins, cross pommée between twins, rev. Bird astride two stalks, pecking copious berries right, 0.89g, 180° (SL 62-10 plate coin; Abramson, 2012b, Fig 7; SCBI 69, 804 this coin; T&S pp. 570-5, 453; Gannon 119, 139, no. 225, 144-5, 185, Figs. 4.18a, 4.53; MEC 8 Series V; North 120; Spink 817 plate coin), small flan chip and of baser fabric than the last, nonetheless an attractively well-centred example, almost extremely fine, scarce.
