Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Triquetras Group, variety 10, ' Hwiccian' style, DE LVNDONIA+ around draped and diademed bust right, almond-shaped eye, wreath ties, row of pellets above head, rev. void cross with triquetra limbs, central boss and pellets, rosettes in angles, 0.89g (SL 110-80 plate coin; T&S pp. 423-5, 341-4; Gannon 27, 49, 83, 162, 187, and Figs. 2.39, 3.6, 5.7a-b; 6.1; Spink 821), a sparkling reverse with hints of residual tone, of good fabric, very fine and extremely rare.
