East Anglia, Beonna (c. 749-760), Sceat, Efe, +BEGGA RESS [+BEONNA REXX] partly runic, central pellet in beaded inner circle, rev. central saltire within beaded box with diagonals transecting outer beaded border, Latin cross laterally above, EfE partly runic, trefoils either side of each letter, 1.00g, 0° (SL 113-10 plate coin; Abramson, 2012b, Fig 17l; SCBI 69, 1067 this coin; Archibald, 1985 and 1995; T&S pp. 601-7, 478; Gannon 165, 168, no. 85, 175-6, Figs 5.10b, Fig. 5.24c, 13, 192; North 430/1; Spink 945), attractive toning in recesses, very fine, rare.
