East Anglia, Beonna (c. 749-760), Sceat, Efe, +BEOGGA REX partly runic, central cross pommée, rev. central saltire within beaded box with diagonals transecting outer beaded border, Latin cross above, EFE in Latin, trefoils either side of each letter, 0.70g, 270° (SCBI 69, 1068 this coin; Archibald, 1985 and 1995; T&S pp. 601-7, 478; Gannon 165, 168, no. 85, 175-6, Figs 5.10b, Fig. 5.24c, 13, 192; North 430/1; Spink 945), ragged and chipped edges and the obverse somewhat corroded, otherwise toned, fine to good very fine, rare.
