Merovingia Francia (c. 700-725), Denier, diademed and draped bust right, almond-shaped eye, thin projecting lips, quatrefoil behind, plain cross angled before, rev. +ADALSAR, around pellet in beaded inner circle, 0.98g, 180° (SCBI 69, 1103 this coin; Belfort 5753 var; Metcalf 267; MEC I, 616), a most captivating coin, a trace off-struck, but of exceedingly good fabric, about extremely fine, scarce.
