Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Series (680-710), Sceat, Series C (C2ii), type 2, crude radiate head right, rear beaded line of pyramid neck curved, annulet before legend TAPA, annulets flanking chevron A behind, two pellets either side of annulet in exergue, rev. degenerate votive standard, cross pattée to sides, pheon to corners, 1.20g, 270° (SL 4-40; Abramson, 2012a, Fig 20; SCBI 69, 86 this coin; T&S pp. 106-16, 121-31; Gannon 43-4, 43, no. 144, 48, no. 173, 55, 172-3, 184, no. 18, Figs. 2.29b and 5.19b; North 41; Spink 779 plate coin), well-centred with a handsome portrait, about extremely fine, rare in this condition.
