NETHERLANDS: Wilhelmina, 1890-1948, AR 2½ gulden, 1943-D, KM-331, palm tree privy mark, PCGS graded MS64. Even though the Netherlands East Indies was under Japanese control in 1943, the U.S. Mint in Denver struck 20 million silver 1 gulden and 2 million 2½ gulden coins in anticipation of the eventual liberation of the colony from the Japanese.
