First date of this long-running type from the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. One handwritten signature and very scarce in problem-free condition such as seen here. While as recent as a few years ago you could find these handsigned $5's with relative ease most have disappeared from the marketplace. This is the first one of any denomination we have been able to offer recently, and the only 1927 dated piece we have ever offered.
