Lower Canada. J. Shaw & Co. Token ND (1837) MS62 Brown NGC, Br-565, LC-19A2. Reeded edge. Medal alignment. We feel that the holder should read LC-19A2, not LC-19A1. Haxby notes, "To describe the two varieties of Breton 565 as weak vs. full W is somewhat misleading. The W is weaker than the other letters in both cases. The weak W is barely readable and the full W is easily readable." The W on this example is easily readable, thus LC-19A2. Bold devices with underlying luster and only minute marks.
