Blacksmith copper Mint Error - Struck on Defective Flan "Harp/Ships Colonies & Commerce" 1/2 Penny Token ND VF20 Brown NGC, Br-998, BL-28A2, Wood-10. Thin flan. Medal alignment. Ex. Bowers and Merena Frederick B. Taylor Collection, March 26-28, 1987, Lot 1036. This piece was auctioned in the Warren Baker Collection of Blacksmith Tokens, which was sold in conjunction with the Frederick B. Taylor Collection. It was so described, "There is a crescent shaped indentation on the obverse and reverse from 7 o'clock to 11 o'clock. The indentation clearly occurred at the time of striking."
